What Changed (and Why)
TranscribeMe was born as a WhatsApp bot that transcribed voice notes. TranscribeGo launched later as a web app for uploading audio and video files. Both tools served the same purpose — turning audio into text — but they lived in separate worlds. Separate accounts, separate billing, separate features.
We knew we could do better. So we rebuilt everything from the ground up into a single platform where every feature is available everywhere, and your account follows you across channels.
Here is what that looks like in practice.
One Account, Every Channel
You can now use TranscribeGo from four different channels — all connected to the same account:
WhatsApp. Send or forward voice notes, audio files, or video files directly to the TranscribeGo bot. You get your transcription back in seconds, right inside the chat.
Telegram. The same experience, now on Telegram too. Send voice messages or files to our bot and get instant transcriptions. If you already had a TranscribeMe Telegram account, your history and subscription migrated automatically.
Web app. Visit transcribego.com to upload files, paste URLs, record audio, or manage your transcription history from any browser.
API. For power users and businesses that need programmatic access, we now offer an API. Contact our support team and we will set you up with API credentials to consume your minutes directly from your own applications.
The key point: you only pay once. Your subscription minutes are shared across WhatsApp, Telegram, the web, and the API. No double billing, no separate plans.

Upload Any File Type
Drop audio or video files in any major format — MP3, MP4, WAV, M4A, OGG, WEBM, MOV, AVI, MKV, and more. On WhatsApp and Telegram, just send the file as an attachment. On the web, drag and drop or click to upload.
Long files? No problem. We handle recordings up to 5 hours, whether it is a podcast episode, a lecture, or a full day of meeting recordings.
Transcribe from URLs
Paste a YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter/X, or any public video URL, and TranscribeGo extracts the audio and transcribes it automatically. This works both from the web app and by sending the URL directly via WhatsApp or Telegram.
No need to download the video first. Just paste the link and let our engine do the rest.
AI Chat: Ask Questions About Your Transcriptions
Every transcription comes with a built-in AI assistant. Once your audio is transcribed, you can open the AI Chat panel and ask questions about the content:
"What were the main action items discussed?" "Summarize this in three bullet points." "Write a blog post based on this interview." "Translate the key points to French."
The AI has full context of your transcription, so it gives precise, relevant answers — not generic responses. You can also ask it to rewrite, edit, restructure, or extract specific information.
This works on both the web app (in the transcription detail view) and via WhatsApp/Telegram (by replying to a transcription message with your question).
Smart Reminders
Set reminders using natural language — from WhatsApp, Telegram, or the web. Just say:
"Remind me to call the dentist tomorrow at 3pm." "Remind me to submit the report next Monday." "Weekly reminder: team standup every Tuesday at 9am."
TranscribeGo understands dates, times, and recurring patterns. When the time comes, you get a notification on the channel where you set it. You can view and manage all your reminders from the web app's dedicated reminders page.

Our transcription engine supports over 90 languages and automatically detects what language is being spoken. No need to configure anything — send audio in Portuguese, switch to Hindi in the next message, and get accurate transcriptions in both.

Link Your Accounts
From the Settings page on the web, you can link your WhatsApp, Telegram, and email identities into a single account. This means:
Your transcription history from all channels appears in one place. Your subscription minutes are shared. Your preferences (language, reminders, privacy settings) apply everywhere.
If you were using TranscribeMe on WhatsApp and TranscribeGo on the web with different accounts, you can merge them from the billing page. The merge keeps the best plan and the highest minute balance.

Do I need to create a new account after the migration?▾
No. If you were already using TranscribeMe or TranscribeGo, your account has been migrated automatically. Just log in with the same credentials you were using before. If you had separate accounts on WhatsApp and the web, you can merge them from the billing page.

What happened to my TranscribeMe subscription?▾
Your existing subscription was migrated to the new platform with the same plan, billing cycle, and remaining minutes. Nothing changed on the payment side — you continue paying the same amount through the same provider.
How do I access the API?▾
The API is available for users who need programmatic access. Contact our support team through WhatsApp or email, and we will set up your API credentials. Your API usage consumes minutes from the same pool as your other channels.
Can I use TranscribeGo on both WhatsApp and Telegram at the same time?▾
